Our Community

Welcome to the webpage of Grovely Anglican Parish

Within the pages of this website you will find information about who we are and what we do. We believe that "The Church" is simply...PEOPLE. It is not a building, nor an institution, nor something separate from mainstream life. It is the people who hold Jesus Christ as their life framework - a framework that needs continual exploring as to what it means to belong to him. His teaching centres on relationship all the time; relationship with God, and relationships with each other. We believe that his way contains the truth of all life. It does not mean life is free of struggle nor suffering, but the gift of our lives is seen for what it really is. And thus, like everyone, we take seriously the choices along the way - but we believe we have the guidance to make "best life practice" choices.

We also believe we need each other to live that "best practice" life, and that is why the church is definitely a community of people. We are together pilgrims on a journey, as, the song says...

We are pilgrims on a journey and companions on the road;
we are here to help each other walk the mile and bear the load.

Richard Gillard, Brother, Sister Let Me Serve You.
