Parenting Education Program (PEP)
An MU Australia Initiative...
MU is an organisation of the Anglican Church whose purpose is to encourage, strengthen and support marriage and family life.
PEP has been designed to encourage and support parents, grandparents, and carers in this important role of parenting, with discussion of family issues and awareness of helpful skills. The course content is appropriate for children of all ages. Presented by trained and accredited facilitators, the course looks at:
- Parenting Styles
- Childhood Development
- Relationship Building
- Children's Self-Esteem
- Discipline Strategies
- Family Growth
PEP was developed in the United Kingdom by the Church of England's Mother's Union, and is presented throughout the world. It is has been met with acclaim and appreciation for its helpful and realistic approach to parenting in the 21st century.
Grovely Anglican Parish has a strong MU branch and family ministry, and is pleased to be able to offer this excellent program.
The cost for the full 3 days is $40 per family. MU Australia is very pleased to subsidise the course to enable the cost to be this low. To assist families, during the sessions we offer child minding (on site) if needed, and morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. It is preferable (if appropriate) for both arents to attend the course. Grandparents are also welcome!
